Summary
This study looked at whether using regular CT scans (already done for other reasons) can better predict the risk of spine fractures in people over 50, compared to the standard FRAX risk score. Researchers analyzed CT images from nearly 2,800 adults taken five years apart. The goal was to see if bone density and hidden fractures on CT could identify high-risk individuals more accurately, without extra tests or radiation.
