First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a compressive cryotherapy device (Game Ready®) can reduce the need for opioid painkillers after total knee replacement surgery. About 74 adults aged 60-80 will be randomly assigned to use either the device or traditional ice packs four times daily for a week. Researchers will track pain levels and opioid consumption to see which method leads to better recovery.
