CRISPR One-Shot aims to fix stubborn cholesterol for good

Summary

This is the first human trial of an experimental one-time treatment called CTX310, which uses CRISPR gene-editing technology. It aims to permanently lower harmful cholesterol and fat levels in the blood of adults whose levels don't respond well to existing medications. The study will first test the safety of different doses given through an IV infusion.
