Core training boosts swim speed for amputee teens

NCT ID NCT07619963

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether a 12-week core muscle training program could help teenage swimmers with limb amputations improve their trunk endurance and 50-meter freestyle time. Thirty swimmers were split into two groups: one did core training plus their usual swim practice, the other only swam. The researchers measured swim times and core strength before and after the program to see if the extra training made a difference.
