First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at why the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) nervous system is overactive in people with COPD. Researchers will measure nerve activity, heart rate, and blood pressure in 135 adults with COPD. The goal is to understand how sleep apnea, lung function, and inflammation affect these nerve signals. No new treatment is being tested; this is an observational study to gather knowledge.
