New brain pacemaker aims to ease Parkinson's with less power
NCT ID NCT07340073
First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to use deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease. Instead of constant high-power pulses, the new method uses lower, timed pulses to reset faulty brain signals. Researchers will check if it is safe and helps with movement problems in 24 adults who already have a DBS device.
