Robot vs. navigation: which knee surgery is better?

NCT ID NCT05980442

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two types of computer-assisted knee replacement surgery: one using a navigation system (OrthoPilot) and one using a robotic arm (MAKO). The goal is to see if they provide similar improvements in knee function and pain relief one year after surgery. About 140 adults with knee arthritis or related conditions will take part. The results will help doctors choose the best tool for knee replacement.
