First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for long-term low back pain: one uses cold (iovera system) to numb nerves, and the other uses heat (radiofrequency ablation). About 110 adults with chronic back pain will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups. Researchers will track pain levels and daily function for 12 months to see which method works better.
