First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether combining mental exercises (cognitive stimulation therapy) with physical activities (motor stimulation) can improve thinking and mobility in people with mild-to-moderate dementia. About 421 participants aged 65 and older will attend 14 sessions over 7 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in memory, walking speed, and daily function.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to slow mental and physical decline in people with dementia.
