First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a collaborative care model—where primary care providers work closely with care managers and behavioral health specialists—can help adults reduce their use of opioids, stimulants, and heavy alcohol. About 300 participants with moderate to severe substance use disorders will be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if this team-based approach leads to fewer days of substance use compared to usual care.
