Creative tech workshops could empower people with mental health conditions
NCT ID NCT07704619
First seen Jul 15, 2026 · Last updated Jul 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study explores whether group workshops using MaKey MaKey and Scratch—tools that turn everyday objects into touchpads for creating music, games, and stories—can improve social participation, motivation, and empowerment in adults with mental health conditions. Twenty participants from a mental health day hospital will attend six weekly sessions, collaborating on creative projects. Researchers will measure changes in social functioning, motivation, and empowerment before and after the program to see if this approach is feasible and helpful.
