First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests whether vaccinating stem cell donors against cytomegalovirus (CMV) can help protect the transplant recipient from CMV infection. About 34 people with blood cancers receiving a donor stem cell transplant will have their donors vaccinated before donation. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and reduces the risk of CMV-related complications after transplant.
