Scientists track fuel sources of leukemia cells in patients
NCT ID NCT04785989
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looks at how chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells use nutrients like glucose and glutamine compared to normal cells. Researchers will give participants a special drink with harmless tracers and then measure how the cancer cells process these nutrients. The goal is to better understand CLL metabolism, not to treat the disease. About 16 adults with CLL or healthy volunteers will take part.
