Blood test may reveal hidden clues about prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT01961713

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study is testing a blood test that looks for tiny cancer cells floating in the bloodstream of men with early-stage prostate cancer. The goal is to see if the number of these cells before and after prostate removal surgery can tell doctors more about the cancer's stage and risk of coming back. About 200 men will participate, and no new treatments are being tested.
