First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer sedative called ciprofol works as well as the standard drug propofol for keeping ICU patients calm while on a breathing machine, but with fewer side effects like dangerously low blood pressure. About 366 adults who need sedation for 6-24 hours will take part. The goal is to find a safer way to help patients rest during critical care.
