This study tested a new, faster care pathway for people with chronic constipation at a University of Michigan gastroenterology clinic. Researchers wanted to see how often doctors ordered specific tests and pelvic floor therapy, and how satisfied patients were with their care. 109 adults with chronic constipation took part, and the study focused on improving the process of diagnosis and treatment.
