First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a liver condition in late pregnancy (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) can lead to breathing problems in newborns. Researchers will monitor 120 babies born to mothers with this condition to see if high bile acid levels cause a specific type of lung issue. The goal is to better understand the risks and improve care for these infants.
