First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether rinsing the new bladder or urine pouch with a chlorhexidine antiseptic during and after surgery can reduce urinary tract infections. About 23 adults with bladder cancer having their bladder removed will receive this wash. The main goal is to see if urine is sterile 10 days later and if fewer infections occur within 30 days.
