Ancient herbs target modern dialysis danger
NCT ID NCT07425262
Summary
This study tests whether personalized Chinese herbal medicine can reduce dangerous drops in blood pressure during kidney dialysis. Researchers will enroll 100 dialysis patients in Taiwan who frequently experience these low blood pressure episodes. The trial uses a waitlist design where some participants receive the herbal treatment immediately while others receive it later, allowing comparison of blood pressure stability and quality of life.
