New study tests High-Tech glucose tracking to stop diabetes before it starts

NCT ID NCT07140848

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to the standard Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) helps adults with prediabetes stick with healthy habits and lower their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. About 214 adults with prediabetes will receive DPP coaching and either use a CGM device or standard care. The goal is to see if real-time glucose feedback improves long-term blood sugar control and quality of life.
