New online course boosts confidence for black dementia caregivers

Summary
This study tested an online education program called 'Caregiving While Black' to help Black American caregivers feel more confident and less stressed while caring for a family member or friend with dementia. About 140 caregivers took part. The program aimed to improve their sense of mastery and ability to manage challenging behaviors.
