First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how much energy, water, and waste are produced by different ways of imaging the bowel in people with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. It compares a non-invasive ultrasound method with standard colonoscopy and CT scans. The goal is to see if the ultrasound approach is better for the environment while still being useful for doctors. About 200 patients will take part.
