NCT ID NCT05545306

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how changing what you eat—like the amount of protein, fat, carbs, and total calories—affects the energy your body uses to digest food. Healthy adults aged 18 to 60 will stay in a clinic for about 35 days, eating only provided meals and spending 24-hour periods in a special room that measures their energy use. The goal is to better understand how different diets impact metabolism, not to treat any disease.
