First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether bupropion, a drug used for smoking cessation and depression, can reduce severe fatigue in 16 adults with end-stage kidney disease on hemodialysis. Participants take the pill three times a week during dialysis for 8 weeks and report their fatigue levels. The goal is to find a safe, effective treatment for a symptom that currently has no medical management.
