First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested whether eating steamed broccoli sprouts daily for 28 days could increase anti-inflammatory compounds in the blood and stool of people with mild ulcerative colitis. 23 participants took either 1 or 3 servings of sprouts per day. The goal was to see if this diet is feasible and could reduce inflammation, paving the way for a larger trial.
