Faster radiation for breast cancer: can timing cut side effects?

NCT ID NCT06635980

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a shorter, more intense course of radiation therapy *before* breast cancer surgery is as safe and effective as giving it *after* surgery. It aims to see if the pre-surgery timing can reduce side effects and treatment time for 120 patients with early-stage breast cancer that hasn't spread. Researchers will compare side effects and cancer control between the two timing approaches over several years.
