Scientists investigate why breast cancer gel works differently in women
NCT ID NCT04009044
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at how a medicated gel (afimoxifene) is absorbed through the skin of the breast in women who have had radiation therapy for breast cancer. Researchers want to understand if skin type, blood vessels, or past radiation affect how much of the drug reaches breast tissue. The goal is to learn what factors influence drug delivery, not to test a new treatment. About 156 women who had radiation on one breast will take part.
