Breast cancer may secretly harm egg health, study finds
NCT ID NCT07148141
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at how breast cancer itself (before any treatment) might affect a woman's eggs and ability to preserve fertility. Researchers will compare egg quality and hormone responses between 100 women with breast cancer and healthy egg donors. The goal is to understand why cancer patients often get fewer usable eggs, so future fertility preservation can be tailored to each patient's cancer type.
