Zap to remember: magnetic brain therapy tested for memory loss
NCT ID NCT03331796
Summary
This study tested whether a noninvasive brain stimulation technique could improve memory in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), an early stage of memory loss. 69 participants were randomly assigned to receive either active stimulation to one of two brain areas or a placebo treatment, followed by memory tests over six months. The goal was to see if this drug-free approach could help slow memory decline and improve daily function.
