Scientists map brain changes during tremor treatment

NCT ID NCT06293638

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how deep brain stimulation (DBS) affects brain activity in people with essential tremor. About 55 adults will have their brain waves recorded using EEG or MEG while their DBS device is on or off, and during tasks that trigger tremors. The goal is to understand which brain network changes help control tremors, not to test a new treatment.
