Summary
This study analyzed health records from over 229,000 people with newly diagnosed lung cancer in Korea to see if getting a brain MRI every year helps find cancer that has spread to the brain. The goal was to learn whether these scans catch brain metastases earlier, when they might be easier to treat, and whether this leads to better survival. The study did not involve any new treatments—it simply looked back at existing data to understand the value of routine brain imaging.
