First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study uses special PET scans to measure inflammation in the brains of people with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, and other similar diseases. Researchers want to see if inflammation levels are higher in these patients compared to healthy volunteers. Participants will have MRI and PET scans, along with blood draws, over a few visits. The goal is to better understand how inflammation relates to brain diseases, not to provide treatment.
