NCT ID NCT04725409

First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at brain activity in 100 adults with epilepsy who already have electrodes implanted in their brains for medical reasons. Researchers will record brain signals while participants answer questionnaires about depression, anxiety, and other symptoms, and while they perform memory and impulse-control tasks. The goal is to better understand the brain patterns behind psychiatric and memory disorders, which could lead to new ways to diagnose or treat these conditions in the future.
