Joint replacement patients get bone check to prevent future breaks

NCT ID NCT05845021

First seen Nov 01, 2025

Summary

This study looks at whether having a surgeon send patients with osteoporosis to a bone specialist after hip or knee replacement leads to fewer implant problems and broken bones. About 2,000 adults over 50 with confirmed osteoporosis will be observed for two years. The goal is to see if this referral approach works better than usual care.
