First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of giving the antibiotic cefepime to very sick patients with sepsis in the ICU. The new method uses standard doses but chooses them based on the patient's kidney function. The main goal is to see if this approach is easy for doctors to use and if it helps patients recover faster with fewer side effects. About 300 adults will take part.
