First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding blood flow restriction training (BFRT) to standard physical therapy helps teenagers recover leg strength and muscle size after ACL knee surgery. About 40 teens who had ACL reconstruction will be randomly assigned to either standard rehab or standard rehab plus BFRT. The goal is to see if BFRT leads to better strength, symmetry, and knee function.
