Weekly bladder cancer radiotherapy shows promise for patients unable to have standard treatment
NCT ID NCT01810757
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to give radiotherapy to people with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who cannot have standard surgery or daily radiation. Instead of daily treatments, patients received higher doses once a week for a shorter time. The study also looked at whether using daily scans to adjust the radiation beam (adaptive planning) could reduce side effects. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and can control the cancer.
