Blood markers may spot delirium risk in elderly heart patients
NCT ID NCT07302737
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether certain blood markers can predict delirium (sudden confusion) in older adults with heart failure. Researchers will compare two markers: one for inflammation (SII) and one for blood sugar and fat levels (TyG). They aim to find a simple way to identify high-risk patients early, potentially preventing complications. The study will involve 100 participants and track their hospital outcomes.
