New biomarkers may sharpen cancer diagnosis in bile duct blockages

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring certain substances in bile and blood can more accurately diagnose cancer in people with bile duct blockages. Researchers will compare these new tests with standard methods in 500 adults undergoing a procedure called ERCP. The goal is to find better ways to tell cancerous from non-cancerous blockages.
