Minerals and mood: new study probes links in fibromyalgia

NCT ID NCT07519824

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether levels of certain minerals (like selenium, magnesium, and zinc) in the blood are different in women with fibromyalgia compared to healthy women. It also checked if those mineral levels are linked to how severe the disease is, or to anxiety and depression. The study involved 100 women and was purely observational, meaning no treatment was given.
