NCT ID NCT04869917
First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether simple reminders and encouragement (behavioral nudges) can help adults with prediabetes take proven steps to prevent diabetes, such as joining a lifestyle program or taking metformin. About 960 English- or Spanish-speaking adults aged 18-80 with prediabetes and overweight will participate through their primary care clinics. The goal is to see if these low-cost, scalable approaches lead to weight loss and increased use of diabetes prevention treatments.
