Squats vs. running: which lowers teen blood pressure best?
NCT ID NCT06444464
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a single session of isometric exercise (like squats and planks) or aerobic exercise (like running) is better at lowering blood pressure in teenagers aged 13 to 17.5 who are overweight or obese. 38 teens were randomly assigned to one type of exercise, and their blood pressure was monitored for 24 hours after. The goal is to find which exercise type gives a bigger short-term blood pressure drop.
