First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at whether isometric exercises (like squats and planks) or aerobic exercises (like running) are better at improving blood pressure in teenagers aged 13 to 17.5 who are overweight or have obesity. 38 teens participated, each doing one type of exercise and having their blood pressure monitored for 24 hours. The goal was to see which exercise type has a stronger short-term effect on blood pressure.
