This trial tests whether a newer pacing method, called left bundle branch area pacing, is better than the standard right ventricular pacing for adults with permanent atrial fibrillation and a need for a pacemaker. The goal is to see if the newer technique reduces the risk of death, heart failure hospitalizations, or the need for a more advanced pacemaker over two years. Participants are randomly assigned to receive one of the two pacing strategies and are followed with heart tests and quality-of-life questionnaires.
