Summary
This study tested whether baxdrostat, an experimental drug for high blood pressure, affects the body's stress hormone cortisol. 48 adults with uncontrolled hypertension took baxdrostat or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers measured cortisol levels before and after a stimulation test to see if the drug causes any adrenal problems.
