Gentle ancient exercise tested to help Parkinson's patients walk and balance better
NCT ID NCT07306169
Summary
This study tested whether adding Baduanjin, a gentle traditional Chinese exercise, to standard physical therapy could help people with Parkinson's disease. It involved 27 older adults living in a nursing home who were split into two groups: one received standard therapy, and the other received standard therapy plus Baduanjin for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in balance, walking ability, and overall movement to see if the combined approach was more helpful.
