New pill could lift bipolar depression in just weeks

Summary
This study tests a new drug called azetukalner for people with bipolar I or II disorder who are currently in a depressive episode. About 400 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it safely improves mood and pleasure. The main goal is to measure changes in depression scores after 6 weeks.
