New cancer drug combo enters first human safety tests
NCT ID NCT00600496
Summary
This early-stage study aims to find out if adding an experimental oral drug called AZD6244 to standard chemotherapy is safe and tolerable for people with advanced solid tumors. The trial will enroll 140 patients with cancers like breast, colon, lung, kidney, or melanoma that have no curative options. Researchers will test different doses to find the highest one patients can handle while checking how the body processes the drug combination.
