Summary

This study tested whether eating avocado or mango daily for 8 weeks could improve blood vessel function and thinking skills in 82 adults with pre-diabetes. Participants were randomly assigned to add one of these fruits to their usual diet. Researchers measured blood flow, artery stiffness, eye blood vessels, and cognitive performance. The goal was to see if these foods could help control the early signs of diabetes-related damage.
