New pacing technique may prevent heart damage in AFib patients
NCT ID NCT07428967
First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests if a newer pacing method (left bundle branch area pacing) is better than standard pacing (right ventricular pacing) for people with atrial fibrillation who need a heart ablation. About 86 adults with preserved heart function will be randomly assigned to one of the two pacing types. The goal is to see which method causes fewer cases of pacing-induced heart weakness and leads to better quality of life.
