First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether scheduling automatic follow-up appointments after a child leaves the hospital works better than letting parents decide when to call. About 2,674 children hospitalized for infections like pneumonia or urinary tract infections will take part. The goal is to see which approach reduces hospital readmissions and improves recovery.
